The Assistant Planning Manager plays a crucial role in driving daily safety compliance and fostering a strong safety culture within the team. This position involves effective communication with associates across various avenues and shifts regarding business objectives, current issues, and process improvements. The role also supports the Planning Manager in developing the annual budget, monitoring controllable accounts weekly, and reporting key performance and financial figures to upper management and Corporate. Additionally, the Assistant Planning Manager pushes out daily Corporate shipping priorities, tracks inbound trailers for priority products, and identifies/implements process improvements. This role provides operations and inventory support to other facilities, handles store inquiries and escalated issues, and assists associates with HR-related matters such as attendance, pay, benefits, job changes, terminations, I-9 verification, unemployment claims, and workplace accommodations. The position also participates in hiring, sets goals, provides feedback, monitors performance, and offers coaching and developmental opportunities to associates, preparing them for potential promotions and helping them navigate change.
