About The Position

This position is for an Asst Paraprofessional II working 25 hours per week. The School District of Palm Beach County is a drug and alcohol-free workplace, and all employment categories are subject to drug testing. Certain employment categories may also require a pre-employment medical examination. Non-Instructional applicants for some clerical positions will be required to pass a Keyboarding Test. Finalists may be required to undergo a background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Requirements

  • Must upload resume into profile.

  • Must pass drug testing.
  • May be required to pass a Keyboarding Test for clerical positions, meeting the Word per Minute (WPM) requirement.
  • May be required to undergo a background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
  • Must not test positive for a drug as defined in the policies.

Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Grants permission for any agency of the government of the United States and/or any other agency, person, firm or corporation holding records considered confidential to furnish the Department of School Police and/or the Division of Human Resources of the School District of Palm Beach County all information desired involving the applicant in any way, upon request. Such records may include reasons for termination of employment, reasons for discharge from military services, criminal history, on-the-job performance, educational records, or any other personal information which may not otherwise be obtained without prior agreement. Included in this grant of authority is permission to former employers.
