Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required.
  • 3+ years airline background in maintenance
  • 3+ years in a Supervisory role
  • Knowledge of Technical Operations policies and procedures
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the daily operation in the HMC area
  • Ensure training and proficiencies of HMC performing daily duties
  • Build and maintain a positive working relationship with all SOC stakeholders and TOMC for applicable stations
  • Track and analyze performance of HMC team on a daily basis with emphasis on delay/cancel performance, STAR and OTS goal achievement
  • Lead and ensure compliance in all HMC activities
  • Coordinate and track the recovery of scheduled deferred items
  • Notify and communicate the status of aircraft that are out of service or on a maintenance delay to Maintenance Control and local operations
  • Coordinate and track planned maintenance efforts for thru flights
  • Initiate and update TOCS (Technical Operations Computer System) and AMIS logs on all aircraft that are out of service, in a planned hold, or have significant maintenance activities on going
  • Coordinate station supplier requirements that are required to support maintenance activities
  • Identify and communicate maintenance troubleshooting and repair procedures as required
  • Ensure delay reports are entered and compile delay data for tracking and analysis
  • Identify issues and engage in structured problem-solving to assist HMC in accomplishing work
  • Backfill for shift manager when needed
  • Actively involved in the next shift preparation and the success of the station plan
  • Provide meaningful feedback, coaching current and new supervisors to improve overall skills and proficiencies
  • Actively recognize your team or individual’s performance by using UA recognition tools (i.e. Bravo, UA100)
  • Facilitate in-person training and/or presentations as required
  • Consistently involved in station projects and/or extra activities to improve, meet or exceed departmental goals
  • Organize /track projects to maximize change management and increase successful implementation
  • Provide supervisors, leads and technicians with guidance, leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and recognition as appropriate
  • Set expectations regarding performance standards for supervisors and technicians, gain their commitment under Company guidelines and CBA (if applicable)
  • Assist with career action planning, goal setting and employee development including but not limited to assisting Manager/Director (if applicable) with mid-year & end-year performance reviews of Supervisors
