About The Position

The Asst. Manager Supplements & Nutrition supports the success of the Nutrition department at Plum Market, which includes vitamins and supplements, body care, tea, baby products, and general merchandise. This role requires strong skills in purchasing, inventory control, merchandising, display execution, and team supervision. The Asst. Manager Supplements & Nutrition will ensure the department maintains a well-stocked, visually appealing, and Customer-focused shopping experience while meeting margin and sales goals. This position reports to the Dept Manager and supports all day-to-day operations.

Requirements

Ability to manage multiple detailed and consistently updated essential documents simultaneously, including order guides, logs, SOPs, and more.
Ability to collaborate closely with the Manager on all aspects of purchasing, merchandising, and departmental planning.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Apps and the ability to adapt and learn new software solutions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break – we work on the floor and alongside our team.
Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional Customer Service by being approachable, knowledgeable, and proactive in helping Guests find wellness solutions across categories including vitamins, skincare, wellness teas, and eco-friendly baby products.
Support purchasing and inventory processes by maintaining accurate order guides, assisting in ordering stock, reviewing invoices, and participating in product selection and promotional planning.
Build and maintain attractive, engaging displays for seasonal items, health trends, and brand education to enhance the Guest experience and promote sales.
Ensure stock levels are maintained through regular replenishment, backstock organization, and effective rotation practices to reduce waste and ensure freshness.
Train, mentor, and coach Team Members on product knowledge, merchandising standards, and customer engagement practices.
Monitor sales trends and assist the Manager in analyzing department performance, identifying opportunities to improve margins, move inventory, and meet sales goals.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance by adhering to Plum Market SOPs and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Partner with the Manager and Store Leadership to implement strategic initiatives, drive engagement, and continuously improve department performance.
Act as a role model on the floor, fostering a positive and professional team environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and accountability.
Support department coverage by stepping into the Manager role as needed in their absence.
