About The Position
This role directly oversees all facets of the Casino Floor, Aqua Bar, Lotus, Bet Rivers, and High Limit Operations. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring proper staffing for forecasted volume and budgetary guidelines, managing labor, cost of goods, and other expenses to budget. They will effectively manage, track, and ensure compliance with all products, commodities, and paper supplies. This position is responsible for the financials of the Casino Floor, Aqua Bar, Lotus, Bet Rivers, and High Limit, as well as the development and performance of supervisors and line staff. The role includes hiring, managing, and firing subordinates, communicating with operational departments, and ensuring appropriate information is disseminated to F&B staff. They will establish performance and profit objectives for the specified outlets and perform duties associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program. The Assistant Manager is responsible for implementing and enforcing F&B procedures, driving service initiatives, and maintaining high standards for food quality and overall culture. All other duties as may be assigned will also be performed.
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years F&B leadership role, in gaming or hospitality environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership / motivation skills.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Excellent knowledge in various computers programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Budget and mathematical skills.
- Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
- Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and some lifting.

- BA Degree in gaming/hospitality or related field preferred.

- Performs the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Rivers Casino – Des Plaines ICS.
- Responsible for implementing & enforcing F&B procedures.
- Drives Service Initiatives.
- Responsible for maintaining our high level of expectations for food quality & overall culture.
- Performs all other duties as may be assigned.
