The ADON assist the Director of Nursing to develops department goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines. This position directs the implementation and ensures compliance with the Standard of Nursing Practice that promotes optimum health care delivery. The ADON participates in the development of new educational and research programs for expansion of nursing and patient care services. Identifies and leads strategies to improve and sustain patient experience scores. Qualifications, the incumbent develops and provides oversight for the hospital-wide education and training program, and assists department managers in providing education and training needs of staff based on requirements of the Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, State and Federal guidelines.
