Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated relevant experience, OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience in a protective services role such as federal, state, or local law enforcement; military veterans preferred.
  • HR218 / LEOSA certification required.
  • Ability to carry and qualify with approved corporate firearms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Florida Class D & G licenses.
  • Leadership experience required; at least five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
  • Broad knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Must maintain physical fitness.
  • Trained and attended certified courses in defensive tactics.
  • Ability to write concise and comprehensive reports in a timely manner.
  • Ability to handle physical and mental stress associated with working extended hours.
  • Must be mature, flexible, able to command the respect and confidence of staff and possess a high tolerance to mental stress.
  • Ability to pass all necessary background requirements as defined by the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in a related field.
  • Leadership experience required; at least five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Assistant Director, Corporate Security conducts risk threat vulnerability assessments, physical threat investigations, evaluates potential security breaches, and recommends corrective measures.
  • The Assistant Director, Corporate Security also assists in shaping the overall security strategy and advising improvements to corporate and residential surveillance systems.
  • In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director, Corporate Security oversees all daily departmental operations.
  • The role provides direct supervision to the Corporate Security Manager, including oversight of shift scheduling, records management, performance evaluations, and general guidance to security personnel.
  • The Assistant Director, Corporate Security ensures all security operations comply with established policies, procedures, and corporate protocols.
  • The position may require responding to incidents after regular duty hours and coordinating with local law enforcement or other relevant agencies when necessary. Periodic overnight travel is required.
  • The Assistant Director, Corporate Security monitors the activities of employees and guests, ensuring that public access is limited strictly to authorized official business.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
