Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated relevant experience, OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience in a protective services role such as federal, state, or local law enforcement; military veterans preferred.
HR218 / LEOSA certification required.
Ability to carry and qualify with approved corporate firearms.
Ability to obtain and maintain Florida Class D & G licenses.
Leadership experience required; at least five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Broad knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Must maintain physical fitness.
Trained and attended certified courses in defensive tactics.
Ability to write concise and comprehensive reports in a timely manner.
Ability to handle physical and mental stress associated with working extended hours.
Must be mature, flexible, able to command the respect and confidence of staff and possess a high tolerance to mental stress.
Ability to pass all necessary background requirements as defined by the organization.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree is preferred in a related field.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Director, Corporate Security conducts risk threat vulnerability assessments, physical threat investigations, evaluates potential security breaches, and recommends corrective measures.
The Assistant Director, Corporate Security also assists in shaping the overall security strategy and advising improvements to corporate and residential surveillance systems.
In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director, Corporate Security oversees all daily departmental operations.
The role provides direct supervision to the Corporate Security Manager, including oversight of shift scheduling, records management, performance evaluations, and general guidance to security personnel.
The Assistant Director, Corporate Security ensures all security operations comply with established policies, procedures, and corporate protocols.
The position may require responding to incidents after regular duty hours and coordinating with local law enforcement or other relevant agencies when necessary. Periodic overnight travel is required.
The Assistant Director, Corporate Security monitors the activities of employees and guests, ensuring that public access is limited strictly to authorized official business.
Performs other duties as assigned.
