About The Position

Assistant Director of Clinical Services (ADCS) The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently hiring a Director of Clinical Services to join our team of dedicated professionals. SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:Assists the Director of Clinical Services to create and oversee the development of the inpatient programs and clinical services necessary to meet key mental health needs of the community in keeping with the hospital’s philosophy and goals

Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in social work, psychology, or mental health counseling required; South Carolina LISW, LPC license with current registration required.
  • Experience: One to three years of related experience required. Experience in psychiatric hospital setting required; range of experience within the continuum of care preferred (e.g. inpatient, outpatient, or IOP, partial).
  • Additional Requirements: Successful completion Management Aggressive Behavior Training (HWC) before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. Successful certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association for CPR prior to taking an independent patient assignment.
  • Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9a-5pm & Rotation on-call Administrative Duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the DCS to create and oversee the development of the inpatient and outpatient programs and clinical services necessary to meet key mental health needs of the community in keeping with the hospital's philosophy and goals. Design programs using evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical and administrative functions and supervision of inpatient and outpatient clinical staff
  • Provides day-to-day therapist coverage for case management, psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, and group therapy as needed for coverage
  • Oversee the provision of psychosocial assessments, therapy, treatment plans, discharge plans, and therapeutic crisis intervention. Oversee the discharge planning process to ensure timely and appropriate discharge of patients
  • Provide coverage for scheduling, FTE management, and time keeping in the absence of DCS as needed.
