Perform various tasks related to school breakfast and lunch. Serve on the line. Clean all cooking areas. Wash dishes and lunch trays. Count money at the end of the day. Assist Cafeteria Managers and Food Service Director when needed. This role ensures the safety of students and performs duties of server, cashier, dishwasher, and prep cook as assigned. The position involves receiving payment for meals, operating a point of sale system, restocking items, maintaining records of free and reduced lunches, and ensuring confidential information is respected. Positive interaction with staff, students, parents, and the community is expected, along with attending required meetings and in-services. The role also includes ensuring adequate supplies, assisting with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup, as well as maintaining the dishwashing area and equipment. Promoting good public relations and serving as a role model are also key aspects. Basic computer skills, including email and spreadsheets, are beneficial. Adherence to strict sanitary standards, auditing the daily milk bill, completing timesheets, and responding to inquiries are also part of the responsibilities.
