About The Position

Huntington Hills, a proud affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is seeking an Assistant Business Office Manager. This role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of resident census and billing to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient collection of resident accounts. The position involves assisting with Medicaid Pending applications, accurate reporting of billing and cash collection activity, and ensuring full compliance of Resident Funds ledgers. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of billing and collections experience in long-term care.
  • Management or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Pending, Applied Income, and Managed Care reimbursement regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent team building, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Deadline driven, detail-oriented individual.
  • Proficiency in office software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and billing/eligibility software solutions (Point Click Care, Inovalon and RFMS).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of resident census and billing to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maximize efficient collection of resident accounts.
  • Assist with submission and tracking of Medicaid Pending applications.
  • Accurately report billing and cash collection activity.
  • Ensure full compliance of Resident Funds ledgers.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain facility census, including reconciliation to Midnight Shift Report, entering payer changes, and adjusting payer information and revenue according to NHCA guidelines.
  • Prepare daily deposits for non-AR related cash, private pay, private coinsurance, applied income monies, and miscellaneous AR payors.
  • Scan checks, post payments, and complete cash logs per NHCA guidelines.
  • Import all AR related commercial insurances and Medicaid related monies.
  • Review aging reports upon completion of daily cash posting to verify accuracy.
