About The Position

Rock Solid Janitorial, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Area Supervisor for a Full-Time or Part-Time (Hourly) position. This role supports the Area Supervisor and Operations by effectively utilizing established company processes and collaborating with trained teams. The Assistant Area Supervisor must be highly organized, efficient, and able to lead by example to maintain company standards. The number of facilities may fluctuate, requiring travel and long scheduled hours. This position also requires the ability to work as a "Fill In" for employees who call out. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: At times this job requires that the Area Team Lead be able to stand and walk for longer periods of time, climb stairs, stretch, kneel, lift, bend, stoop, pull, push, etc. in order to accomplish tasks. Operations: 1. Prepare schedules for initial site visits, including introductions and facility tours. 2. Set clear team goals and evaluate progress. 3. Provide effective training to team members and coordinate/schedule staff meetings as needed. 4. Ensure facilities are properly staffed and that supplies and equipment are readily available. 5. Act as a liaison for direct communication with customers as required and provide regular status reports. 6. Conduct thorough building inspections with the team leader/custodians, including janitor closets. 7. Ensure all paperwork is thoroughly completed, including signatures where necessary and proper documents are obtained. 8. Provide coaching and performance documentation, as well as yearly assessment reviews on Team Leaders, and collect performance reviews from Team Leaders. 9. Coordinate and set up training classes, as assigned. 10. Assist with any additional assignments or projects as necessary to ensure facilities are serviced to standard. 11. Responsible for preventing conflict and resolving it if it arises.

Requirements

Minimum three years prior training, teaching, or related and management experience.
Writing proficiency to be able to write performance reviews, and other job related items in a clear, concise, and grammatically correct manner.
Excellent Communicator (oral, written, and listening skills).
Be able to handle multiple projects/assignments concurrently and be result oriented.
Be highly motivated to work both independently and in a team environment.
Be able to maintain confidentiality.
Have the ability to handle difficult situations and persons in a positive and professional manner.
Have the ability to train, coach, and motivate staff on how to clean effectively and efficiently.
Must be able to pass state background checks as required by facility.
