About The Position

The Brattle Group’s Associates work on teams handling challenging, high-profile economic, regulatory, and financial projects for clients around the world. Associates apply finance and economic theory and practice to litigation, corporate strategy, regulation, and public policy matters. They are central members of project teams, framing research approaches, managing projects, and supervising team members and staff while developing individual expertise. With experience, Associates contribute to client relationships, marketing, and business development. The role offers formal and informal training and development, and many Associates develop into Principals and testifying experts.

Requirements

• PhD in Finance, Financial Economics, or a related field, with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis.
• Excellent analytic and quantitative skills, including proficiency with analytical or statistical software such as STATA, R, and Excel.
• Practical problem-solving abilities.
• Intellectual curiosity.
• Entrepreneurial drive.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communications.
• Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated record of outstanding academic and/or professional accomplishment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in computer science, data analysis, blockchain, or cryptocurrency markets; or a background in economics or finance with experience in oil and gas, pipelines, regulatory matters, or litigation.
• Pre- or postgraduate work experience in a related discipline is strongly desired, preferably in finance, government, a related industry, or consulting.
