Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting or in a related field
  • two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with: analyzing financial statements such as the income statement and balance sheet; building financial projections for technology focused companies; preparing financial statements for technology focused companies; preparing credit investment memos; and applying accounting principles to evaluate financial health of corporations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing target business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
  • Analyzing budgets and preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Analyzing or verifying annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
  • Analyze potential investment opportunities and engage in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses.
  • Complete due diligence including review of investment target information and data room, industry research, financial modeling, financial statement review, interaction with target management, use of consultants, review of third party reports, etc.
  • Reviewing data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, or expenditures.
  • Liaise directly with private equity funds, management teams, and third party due diligence providers during deal origination and underwriting process.
  • Prepare analysis and memorandums used for internal discussions and formal investment committee approval processes.
  • Participate in deal team discussions and presentations with management and investment committee.
  • Inspecting cash on hand, notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and canceled checks to confirm records are accurate.
  • Preparing, examining, or analyzing accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Reporting to management and investment committee regarding the finances of establishment and investments.
