About The Position

Incandescent is an advisory firm focused on helping organizations create, build, and run enterprises to do important work. They work across three primary platforms: Corporates & Fortune 500s (including Private Equity), Systems Change Organizations (philanthropies, non-profits, mission-driven enterprises), and Ventures (late seed stage through Series B). The firm was founded in 2013 and recently acquired Minds at Work. The Associate role is primarily focused on the corporate advisory practice but offers opportunities in systems change and venture building. This is a demanding, fast-paced role with significant learning and development opportunities and client exposure. Associates act as advisors and consultants in small teams (2-3 people), working directly with senior client stakeholders. The role involves advising on how organization, culture, and talent can drive change and accelerate growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on client organizations, industries, and business problems.
  • Synthesize research findings to distill key insights, decisions, and next steps.
  • Support and lead meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare client-ready materials, including decks and memos, translating complex ideas into clear communication.
  • Contribute to building Incandescent by advancing research agendas or developing firm systems and processes.
