Goldman Sachs Asset Management is a leading global asset manager with over $3.6 trillion in assets under supervision. GSAM invests in various asset classes globally and is one of the largest managers of private capital worldwide. GSAM Private Credit is a significant alternative credit investing platform with approximately $160bn of AUM and professionals across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. It encompasses strategies such as Direct Lending, Hybrid Capital, Asset Finance, Structured Corporate Credit, and IG Corporate and Infrastructure Credit. Structured Corporate Credit (SCC) is a growing segment within Private Credit, specializing in financings backed by corporate credit support. SCC offers flexible, long-term capital solutions to investment-grade corporates globally for growth, M&A, and asset monetization, utilizing a broad range of structured solutions and asset classes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the global structured corporate credit platform, gaining exposure to a global team and its diverse activities including transaction origination, underwriting, structuring, risk management, and execution. The small deal team sizes and the variety of transaction structures and sectors provide extensive exposure and skill development. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of investment banking (M&A or Industry Coverage), private credit, structured finance, or infrastructure investing is highly preferred
  • Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for investing with specific interest in credit and structured products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and creative mindset; demonstrated ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses and capital structures
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people

Responsibilities

  • Participating in structuring, negotiating and documenting investments
  • Engaging in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis
  • Communicating and defending investment theses and structures to internal stakeholders and committees, including relevant Investment Committees
  • Support originating investment opportunities across the product suite of Structured Corporate Credit via early engagement with relevant parties (e.g. borrowers, sponsors and advisors)
  • Actively monitoring existing investments in the portfolio
  • Involvement in internal fund management, preparation of investor communications, and contributions to platform expansion
