About The Position

Latham & Watkins is seeking a highly qualified associate to join the Environment, Land & Resources Practice Group in the Corporate Department at its New York office. The practice advises multinational corporations, project developers, investors, and lenders on a broad range of environmental matters, including environmental issues in transactions, contaminated properties, permitting, regulatory compliance, climate change, and energy transition matters. The associate will support various attorneys and is likely to work across commercial transaction environmental issues; contaminated properties and litigation; and energy transition matters, including climate change and carbon credit transactions. Spanish or French language skills and prior policy, business, legal, or government experience in the environment, energy, or climate sectors are not required but are advantageous. Associates in this role must protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information held by the firm for client services or internal purposes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
