About The Position

Goldman Sachs Family Office (GSFO) is seeking an Associate to collaborate with Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) in delivering Lifestyle Services to clients and to assist with business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a diligent and client-focused individual with experience in wealth management and/or family office services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant industry experience in a client-facing role (Family office, wealth management, or other experience working with high-net-worth families, is preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to exceed clients’ expectations.
  • Understanding of financial and performance reporting within wealth management.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; strong logical thinker.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability, going above and beyond to ensure that services are delivered on time with a high degree of quality.
  • Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity.
  • Self-motivated, and able to balance quality work while meeting short deadlines.
  • Deep interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinct.
  • Resourceful, self-starter, attentive to detail with great organizational skills.

  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & Series 63 exams (must be obtained within first 3 months of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for the delivery of Lifestyle Services, building trust and rapport with PWA teams, clients, and third-party partners.
  • Identify areas of opportunity, highlight best practices, and ensure the highest quality of services.
  • Become a subject matter expert for related service offerings, which span multiple disciplines including cyber and physical security, domestic staff recruitment, travel, education consultants, and medical advisory.
  • Work closely with Family Office senior leadership to support special projects and business development initiatives to enhance the broader GS Family Office offering.
  • Create scalable solutions, evaluate new service offerings for expansion, and execute opportunities that advance the commercial impact of the business.
  • Partner with PWM teams to manage the client lifecycle throughout their relationship with the vendor, from preliminary marketing and needs evaluation to introductions and ongoing relationship management.
  • Facilitate client introductions with their respective PWA teams and third-party service providers to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Build PWA and client loyalty to minimize churn by understanding client needs and building relationships with key stakeholders to earn trusted advisor status.
  • Collaborate, problem-solve, and strategize with PWA teams on how best to deliver a solution.
  • Track and resolve client requests and feedback.
  • Foster a client-centric team environment.
  • Help clients understand the benefits and considerations of each service and manage expectations.
  • Support the team in identifying, evaluating, and developing best-in-class third-party partnerships and become the relationship owner with senior third-party contacts.
  • Develop, document, and continually enhance processes to maximize efficiency in constantly evolving environments and as vendor relationships evolve.
  • Manage new service offering launches, rollouts, and ongoing services.
  • Act as the champion for service offerings, generating excitement among PWA teams and clients for upcoming product launches and updates.
  • Define success criteria and core metrics across each vendor partner, including leading indicators for evaluating overall business performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on all internal and external technology partners and consider leveraging technology and services to build efficiencies for both the firm and clients.
