About The Position

Side Montreal is looking for Quality Assurance Testers with a passion for video games! Are you a gamer who wants to start a career playing and testing the latest existing or unreleased video games? Look no further; this position at Side as a Quality Assurance Tester will have you play games during work hours, learn and be a part of the development process, and help make sure that the player's experience is bug-free!

This is an on-call position with full-time availabilities from Monday-Friday. This is an in-office position at our main office in the Mile-End area of Montreal. The role requires candidates to be in Montreal, Quebec.

Requirements

• Great observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent proficiency in English is essential, as the role involves comprehending and interpreting internal documentation from our esteemed international clients.
• Exhibit basic proficiency in French to facilitate communication and collaboration when required.
• Basic knowledge of Google or Microsoft’s office suites.
• Team player that excels in a diverse, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with availability and schedule.
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems and bug tracking databases is a plus.
• Experience with Mobile Gaming is a plus.
• Experience with Video Game Testing an asset.
• Joueur passionné avec une solide expérience de jeu sur mobile, PC et/ou console.

Nice To Haves

• Connaissance de plusieurs systèmes d'exploitation et bases de données de bogues est un plus.
• Expérience avec les jeux vidéo mobile est un plus.
• Connaissance pratique des plates-formes Windows.

Responsibilities

• Discover defects/bugs, find clear reproduction steps and enter the information in a concise manner into the database.
• Regressions (re-testing) of defects claimed fixed by the developers.
• Work well in cooperation with other testers of a team.
• Follow test plans/checklists set by the Team leads to ensure the high standards set by the team.
• Collaborate with the Senior Testers and Team Leads.
• Provide subjective feedback on the game or software being tested.
• Smoke tests.
• Destructive testing.
