Carnegie Mellon University's Division of Student Affairs is seeking an Associate Vice President of Community Health and Well-Being (AVP) to lead a talented team in advancing the University's vision of prioritizing health and well-being as a foundation for lifelong success. The AVP will oversee Counseling & Psychological Services (CaPS), University Health Services (UHS), and Wellness and Meaning-Making Programs (WMM), leading the delivery of programs, services, and resources that support student health and well-being. This role involves strategic leadership, fostering a collaborative campus culture, and contributing to the University's core values of dedication, collaboration, and creativity. The Community Health & Well-Being (CHWB) unit at CMU provides a comprehensive, student-centered approach to wellness, offering medical care, mental health services, health promotion, and educational outreach to approximately 16,000 students. CHWB includes CaPS, which offers professional mental health care and is an APPIC member with an APA-accredited doctoral internship program; UHS, which provides clinical and preventive services and manages the student health insurance program; and Wellness & Meaning-Making Programs, which offers workshops, personal development opportunities, and community-connection events for the entire CMU community.
