About The Position
The Associate Vice President for Advancement is a leadership role responsible for driving fundraising and external engagement efforts. This position requires a strategic approach to building relationships, securing philanthropic support, and advancing organizational goals. The role involves leading a team, managing staff, and actively participating in events and travel to foster connections and generate revenue.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field of study.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, advancement, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships, securing philanthropic support, generating revenue, or advancing organizational goals through external engagement.
- Experience leading teams and managing staff.
- Ability to travel and attend events, including evenings and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in higher education advancement.
- Experience working with a fiduciary or governing board.
- Familiarity with Slate CRM system.
