Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant degree
  • A minimum of 8 years’ technical experience
  • Pre and post-contract experience
  • US citizenship and/or existing/transferable right to work in US

Nice To Haves

  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Accreditation (MRICS), or equivalent preferred
  • Experience using cost X, OST, Revit, BIM

Responsibilities

  • Undertake and deliver professional liaison with all internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide commercially pragmatic and technically accurate cost/project management and controls advice to clients.
  • Identify and facilitate business opportunities for growth and continuity of work within the region.
  • Resource planning.
  • Ensure efficient and organized working of staff.
  • Encourage staff suggestions and feedback on current practice.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of direct reports and projects to management.
  • Perform office management duties, ensuring the financial performance of the office.
  • Maintain professional expertise and continue professional development.
  • Ensure the implementation of WT Partnership policies.
  • Undertake all necessary technical duties, including Project Controls, Owners Representative Services, Program Assessment & Audit, Value Engineering, Dispute Resolution Advisory, Contract negotiations, Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims, Procurement advisory, Bid Evaluations and analysis, Risk Management Facilitation, Masterplan and Feasibility Advice, Project Structuring & Governance (Owners Advisory and Project Management), Project Management, and Cost Consulting (full service).
  • Initiate and lead the development of WT Partnership policies and practice.
  • Develop and implement operational processes ensuring high efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the commercial interests of the company are protected at all times.
  • Engage in marketing and sales activities.
  • Interview and recommend potential permanent and contract staff as directed.
  • Assist in fostering a continuous learning environment through staff training, thought leadership, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrate practical leadership and provide direction to staff.
  • Ensure clients are invoiced accurately and timely for work performed.
  • Develop, expand, and maintain existing WT Client relationships.
  • Work as Project Leader or Job Captain, ensuring staff are appropriately trained/experienced, sound resourcing, progress, and standards are maintained, specific quality objectives are set, quality plans are established where required, procedures and specific Quality Records are selected, day-to-day liaison with Clients and design teams occurs, sound management controls are planned, and staff are briefed, directed, and supervised to satisfy Client's requirements.
