About The Position

The Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement is a senior leadership position that provides strategic oversight of the UAM Foundation while supporting the University's fundraising, alumni affairs, development, special events, and institutional advancement efforts. Reporting to the Chancellor, the position supervises and works with the advancement staff to strengthen philanthropic initiatives, enhance donor and alumni relationships, and advance the University's priorities. The position also provides leadership and coordination for Chancellor-assigned special projects and institutional initiatives. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and relationship-driven leader who excels at bringing people together, supporting institutional advancement efforts, coordinating strategic initiatives, and helping move the University's priorities forward through teamwork, communication, and effective execution.

Requirements

Master’s degree required from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight of the UAM Foundation and work collaboratively with Foundation leadership to advance the University's philanthropic mission.
Support fundraising initiatives, donor cultivation, and stewardship efforts in partnership with advancement staff.
Support alumni engagement and annual giving activities that strengthen lifelong relationships with graduates and friends of the University.
Provide leadership and support for planning and implementing events that enhance donor engagement, alumni relations, and institutional visibility.
Assist in identifying external funding opportunities and support campus grant development efforts.
Coordinate and support Chancellor-assigned special projects and institutional initiatives.
Foster cross-campus partnerships to advance institutional and strategic goals.
