About The Position

IndeVets is reimagining associate veterinarian roles by offering sustainable career paths with control over your schedule and guaranteed income, backed by hands-on support and a trusted community. As a full-time W-2 veterinarian working 4-5 days per week, you will build a schedule you control by choosing your preferred workdays. A dedicated scheduling coordinator will build your schedule in advance, providing clarity and predictability. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine. You will have a guaranteed salary as a foundation, with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts. These extra shifts can be paid out or converted into additional PTO. You will practice across a network of trusted hospital partners, gaining diverse clinical experience. The role offers clinical autonomy with a focus on patient care, not numbers, and provides dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, and a collaborative community of fellow veterinarians. Access to a veterinary social worker, ongoing CE, and professional development opportunities are also provided. The model is designed to prevent burnout and offers leadership and mentorship opportunities, exposure to diverse clinical settings, and flexibility to evolve your schedule over time.

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
  • Active license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
  • Confidence practicing independently
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
