Animal Wellness Center in beautiful Crozet, Virginia, is looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our compassionate and collaborative team. We are a unique veterinary practice that blends the best of traditional veterinary medicine with integrative and holistic care, creating a truly comprehensive approach to patient wellness. Our team provides care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, and other exotic companion animals, giving veterinarians the opportunity to build a diverse and rewarding caseload while developing their individual areas of interest. Whether your passion is general practice, surgery, preventative medicine, senior care, rehabilitation, acupuncture, exotic animal medicine, or integrative medicine, we welcome veterinarians who want to practice thoughtful, individualized medicine. Located in the heart of Crozet, Animal Wellness Center serves pets and families throughout Crozet, Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Nelson County, Waynesboro, and the surrounding communities. Our approach combines conventional veterinary medicine and surgery with complementary therapies designed to support the whole patient. Our services include: Preventative and wellness care, Internal medicine, Soft-tissue surgery, Dentistry and dental radiography, Avian and exotic animal medicine, Geriatric care, Acupuncture, Herbal and nutritional therapies, Traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, Chiropractic and spinal manipulation, Canine rehabilitation, Therapeutic laser therapy. Our hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and rehabilitation technology, including digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory capabilities, ECG, therapeutic laser, and an underwater treadmill. Animal Wellness Center also works with a traveling board-certified veterinary surgeon, providing additional access to advanced orthopedic surgical services.

Requirements

DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
Virginia veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain one
Ability to obtain a DEA license, as applicable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A compassionate, patient-centered approach to veterinary medicine
Commitment to high-quality medicine and excellent client service
Comfortable working collaboratively within a veterinary team

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to a diverse patient population
Perform comprehensive wellness and sick-patient examinations
Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans
Perform routine surgical and dental procedures based on your experience and interests
Utilize in-house diagnostics to support timely medical decision-making
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding their pets' health and treatment options
Collaborate with our veterinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
Participate in the care of canine, feline, avian, and exotic patients according to your comfort level and interests
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and their pets
Continue developing your clinical skills through mentorship, continuing education, and professional development

Compensation range of $120,000 - $150,000 + quarterly production percentage of 20% (no negative accrual!)
