About The Position

Join VCA Animal Medical Center of NE Alabama as an Associate Veterinarian, where you will be supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities, and a talented team. The role empowers you to do your best work with a reliable team. VCA emphasizes a collaborative culture and modern facilities with the latest technology, including hands-free radiology, and is AAHA-Accredited. A wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries are available. Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship. The position is full-time, with operational hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 6 pm, and Saturday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Cases involve small animals, covering both wellness and sick patients. The clinic is located in Anniston, Alabama, an area rich in recreation, fitness, and outdoor activities, surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains and Talladega National Forest. VCA is a leader in veterinary care, part of the Mars Veterinary Health family of brands, with a network of 1,000 animal hospitals and 35,000 Associates, impacting over 4.5 million pets annually by delivering world-class medicine with hometown care.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Alabama or the ability to obtain
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
