About The Position

VetStrategy is a network of veterinary practices across Canada dedicated to healthy animals and happy owners. We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join a larger hospital in Ottawa, Canada's capital. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced technology, including laparoscopy and a surgical laser, and services a diverse range of cases, including exotics and pocket pets. Ottawa offers a vibrant lifestyle with attractions like Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal. This role provides an opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals, collaborate on a variety of cases, and utilize cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment equipment. The hospital also offers 24/7 radiologist interpretation within 2 hours for digital radiographs and access to a network of over 1500 DVMs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving veterinary practices and technologies.
  • Capable of handling a variety of cases and situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with clients.
  • Effective communication skills, understanding of client relationship management and education.
  • Empathy for animals and their owners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Service exotics and pocket pets.
  • Work in a state-of-the-art clinic with advanced medical equipment and technology.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced and passionate professionals on a diverse range of cases.
  • Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment equipment to enhance the quality of care.
  • Provide digital radiographs with access to radiologist interpretation 24/7 within 2 hours.
  • Handle a variety of cases and situations with composure and professionalism.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with clients.
  • Manage client relationships and educate clients in promoting animal health.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
