About The Position

We are a locally focused veterinary practice based in White Hall, Maryland, United States. The clinic provides comprehensive medical care for companion animals, serving families and their pets in the surrounding community. Team members work closely with clients to support animal health, wellness, and preventive care. The practice offers a collaborative environment where veterinary professionals can build long-term relationships with clients and their pets while growing their clinical skills.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, or eligible, veterinary license in the state of Maryland.
  • Strong clinical skills in small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with clients and colleagues, providing clear explanations and compassionate guidance.
  • Commitment to animal welfare, client service, and practicing evidence-based medicine in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate medical records and managing multiple cases.
  • Comfort working in an on-site clinical setting, including occasional emergency or urgent care support as needed.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a small animal practice is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine examinations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, perform surgical and dental procedures, and provide preventive care for companion animals.
  • Review patient histories, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
  • Ensure clear communication with clients regarding their pets’ health and care options.
  • Work closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Contribute to patient follow-up and client education.
  • Participate in the ongoing improvement of clinical protocols.
