About The Position

Homestead Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join their multi-doctor mixed animal practice. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, team-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for providing exceptional care to small animal patients and their families. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment, with access to the resources of a well-established mixed animal hospital. The hospital is a 6-doctor practice with a caseload of approximately 70% Equine, 25% Small Animal, and 5% Small Ruminant. The small animal department is growing and operates separately, allowing veterinarians to focus on companion animal care. The facility is 10,000 sq. ft. and state-of-the-art, including modern exam and treatment areas, digital radiography & ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, advanced surgical and dental capabilities, CO₂ & therapeutic laser, and endoscopy, supported by dedicated staff and RVTs.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university
Active Missouri veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
Current DEA license or ability to obtain upon hire
Strong communication skills and commitment to client service
Team-oriented mindset and desire to practice high-quality medicine
