About The Position

Join VCA Animal Hospitals Urgent Care - Mar Vista as an Associate Veterinarian, where you will be supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities, and a talented team. This role offers an innovative approach to urgent care, leveraging technology, staffing, and thoughtfully designed workflows to ensure timely departures and increased earning potential. The hospital features a brand new, warm, and welcoming environment for both pets and people. Veterinarians are supported by 4-6 associates per DVM, including dedicated team members for medical records. The position emphasizes connecting with clients, diagnosing pets, and developing treatment plans within a collaborative and respectful culture. The hospital operates from 10am to 8pm, 7 days a week, with this position working 10-hour shifts. Cases include same or next day care for common pet concerns such as allergic reactions, diarrhea or vomiting, ear infections, eye issues, fleas/ticks/mites, derm, wounds/lacerations, lethargy, loss of appetite, pain or limping, respiratory disease, toxin ingestion, and urinary issues.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in California, or the ability to obtain
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
