About The Position

Calera Animal Hospital is a well-established practice in a large building designed to support both patients and the people who care for them. We currently have four exam rooms and are in the process of adding a fifth comfort room to better serve clients during sensitive moments. We’re a busy, growing practice that continues to welcome new clients in a small-town community. Our culture is friendly, straightforward, and team focused. You’ll be supported by experienced technicians, with plans to continue expanding our support staff as the practice grows. We value practical medicine, open communication, and giving doctors the space to practice confidently without micromanagement. We also work closely with local rescues, offering meaningful case work and strong soft-tissue surgery exposure. If you’re looking for a place where you can build skills, develop confidence, and feel genuinely supported, this is a practice where you can put down roots. Your primary focus will be small animal medicine, including dogs and cats, with some exposure to exotics. You’ll see a steady caseload supported by a collaborative team and loyal clientele.
