Associate Veterinarian – Eastern Long Island, New York
About The Position
A well-established, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital on Eastern Long Island is seeking a full-time experienced Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for a diverse patient population that includes dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, guinea pigs, and other companion animals. This opportunity offers an unusually flexible approach to scheduling, strong earning potential, a deeply tenured team, and the option to structure the position around either traditional year-round practice or a seasonal work model. The full-service hospital provides preventive care, complex case management, surgery, dentistry, hospitalization, internal medicine, advanced diagnostics, intravenous fluid therapy, chemotherapy, and other comprehensive medical services. The state-of-the-art facility provides advanced medical capabilities while maintaining a community-focused environment and has served the area for more than 60 years.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Valid New York veterinary license
- Minimum of two years of clinical veterinary experience
- Ability to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care
- Interest in working with a diverse companion-animal caseload
- Collaborative approach to patient care and teamwork
Responsibilities
