About The Position
Lap of Love is seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian in Sacramento, CA and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. As a mobile veterinarian, you will practice with purpose, enjoy a balanced life, and be part of a supportive community of veterinary professionals. The position emphasizes un-rushed appointments, providing ample time for families and reducing paperwork. Lap of Love is veterinarian-founded and owned, prioritizing both professional fulfillment and personal freedom.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
- Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
- Practice medicine that aligns with personal values.
