About The Position

Quality Veterinary Care, a well-established small-animal practice in Elmont, New York, is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian. The role provides medical, surgical, and dental care; builds client relationships and educates clients about preventative care; and collaborates with a skilled support team to promote patient comfort and client satisfaction. Veterinarians are expected to treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety, or discomfort, stay current with developments in veterinary medicine, work collaboratively within the hospital, help develop the support team, and treat clients and patients with care. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratories, dental radiography, and ultrasound. Full-time or part-time schedules are available. The stated salary range is $110,000 to $180,000, with compensation determined by experience, qualifications, schedule, and compensation structure and subject to change.

Requirements

Experienced veterinarian.
Compassionate, team-oriented, and a strong communicator.
Proficient in general medicine and surgery.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA-accredited university.
Current DEA license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
Active veterinary state license.
USDA accreditation or ability to obtain it upon hire.
