About The Position
Carter County Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This full-service hospital offers a wide range of services including diagnostics, surgery, in-house laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and ortho/rehab. The hospital's mission is to provide excellent veterinary medicine with personal service and a welcoming team culture. The Associate Veterinarian will work collaboratively with experienced doctors and support staff to deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals, utilizing modern equipment and a full suite of services. There are opportunities to develop interests in general practice, surgery, dentistry, or rehabilitation.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Oklahoma
- Strong communication skills, client-service focus
- Comfortable performing surgery and dentistry (or desire to build those skills)
- Interest in mentoring/supporting a team and helping drive practice growth
- Empathetic, team-oriented attitude and desire to live in a community-focused practice
Responsibilities
- Perform physical exams, diagnostics, treatment plans, surgery, and dental procedures
- Mentor and work with support staff and newer team members
- Provide compassionate client education and communication
- Collaborate on hospital initiatives for growth, quality of care, and client satisfaction
