About The Position

IndeVets offers a unique approach to veterinary medicine, prioritizing associate well-being by replacing rigid contracts with sustainable career paths. This role allows veterinarians to control their schedules, earn a guaranteed income, and receive hands-on support and a strong community. As a part-time W-2 veterinarian working 1-3 days per week, you will have a guaranteed salary and the flexibility to choose your working days. A dedicated scheduling coordinator will build your schedule in advance, providing predictability for your personal life. IndeVets manages scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine. You will have a guaranteed salary as a foundation, with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts, which can be paid out or converted to PTO. You will practice in various trusted hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience while maintaining the support and stability of a single employer. Opportunities to work in surgery, dentistry, ER, or urgent care shifts can be included in your schedule when possible. This model provides a structured and sustainable way to stay connected to veterinary work without the need to search for shifts or constantly rebuild your schedule.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
• Active license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
• Confidence practicing independently
• Strong communication and client relationship skills

Nice To Haves

• GP, ER, or urgent care experience
• Internship training

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine independently with clinical autonomy, focusing on patient care rather than numbers.
• Provide veterinary services across a variety of trusted hospital settings.
• Collaborate with a community of fellow veterinarians and have access to dedicated medical leadership and mentorship.
• Utilize veterinary social worker support when needed.
• Engage in ongoing CE and professional development opportunities.
• Potentially include shifts in surgery, dentistry, ER, or urgent care based on availability and preference.
