About The Position

Lap of Love is seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian in Louisville, KY and surrounding areas. This role offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice, focusing on compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families. As a mobile veterinarian, you will provide end-of-life care, which is described as deeply appreciated and emotionally fulfilling work. You will join a community of over 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with ongoing training, mentors, and practice managers to provide support. The position emphasizes a balance between professional fulfillment and personal freedom, with flexible scheduling and a focus on un-rushed appointments.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Availability to work some weekends
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families.
• Conduct an average of 3-4 un-rushed appointments per day.
• Manage paperwork efficiently to allow more time with families.
