About The Position
Lefferts Animal Hospital is a growing, well-established, progressive, 8-doctor general practice in Richmond Hill, NY, seeking another veterinarian to join their efficient, caring, educated, and supportive team. They see companion animal patients and offer a comprehensive range of services including Preventative Care, Surgery, Emergency & Urgent Care, High Speed Dentistry, Surgical CO2 Laser, Cold Laser Therapy, In-House Diagnostics, Digital full body and dental radiology, Ultrasonography, Acupuncture, and House Calls. The practice environment is professional yet fun, with loyal clients and comprehensive benefits, including future ownership opportunities. Mentoring is available for new graduates, and there are no emergency hours.
Requirements
- Full Time OR Part Time Veterinarian
- Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
- Proficient in general medicine and surgery
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License

Responsibilities
- Develop a relationship with clients and partner with them to deliver the highest quality patient care possible.
- Treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety or discomfort.
- Stay up-to-date with innovative and emerging veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols and equipment.
- Collaborate and function as a team within the hospital.
- Help to continue developing the support team.
- Treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet.
