About The Position

Desert Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Yuma, Arizona. The clinic has been serving the community for over 30 years and is an AAHA accredited hospital. They are looking for veterinarians to meet the growing demand from the pet population. The clinic fosters relationships based on trust, compassion, stability, and communication, and has a team of well-trained nurses and doctors who are happy to mentor new graduates or experienced veterinarians. The practice type includes General Practice, Mixed, Exotics, and Orthopedics, with an average daily patient volume of 20. The case mix includes wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. The clinic is equipped with advanced technology such as Digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house labs, a dental suite, surgical laser, and a CT machine. The team culture is described as collaborative, teaching-focused, and highly skilled. The building is 10,000 sq ft and includes 6 exam rooms, a dental suite, and an employee lounge.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university (required)
Compassionate, client-centered approach to care
Strong communication and client-education skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in General Practice, Mixed, Exotics, or Orthopedics.
Experience with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house labs, dental suite, surgical laser, or CT machine.
