About The Position

Join us as an Associate Veterinarian at VCA Tri-County Animal Hospital in Fort Pierce, FL, and you’ll quickly discover that you’re well supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities, and a talented team. This is an AAHA-accredited, 4-doctor small animal practice located in beautiful Fort Pierce, Florida. It is an established and trusted practice proudly serving the community for nearly 40 years. The spacious, state-of-the-art 7,600 sq. ft. facility features 10 exam rooms and is well-equipped with advanced technology, including ultrasound, surgical laser, digital radiology, dental radiology, cold/therapeutic laser, and endoscopy. Alternative medicine services, including acupuncture, are also offered. The highly skilled and supportive team consists of 3 CVTs and 12 Veterinary Assistants, typically providing 2 to 3 support staff members per DVM, depending on the day’s caseload. The team is passionate about patient care, works collaboratively, and enjoys creating a fun and positive work environment. Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Florida, or the ability to obtain.
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and advanced care for small animals, specifically dogs and cats.
  • Handle cases including canine and feline diabetes.
  • Perform soft tissue surgery.
  • Practice the highest standard of medicine and uphold the veterinary code of ethics.
