About The Position

Veterinarians Wanted Why BoosterPet? As a BoosterPet veterinarian, you will have the opportunity to make a true difference in the veterinary industry. We believe in the value of experienced and licensed veterinary technicians to help run each BoosterPet operation. For veterinarians, this means you will be working with highly trained staff in a supportive capacity and provide appropriate veterinary consultation for both pet owners and our awesome veterinary technicians. BoosterPet is a progressive veterinary community that offers three branches of pet wellness care: in-clinic locations in Seattle, mobile clinics at partner retail locations, and virtual care. We are looking for part-time and full-time veterinarians to join our community devoted to providing accessible wellness care to the Seattle pet community. Opportunities in BoosterPet include running mobile wellness clinics in the greater Seattle area, providing in-clinic assistance at our downtown Seattle location (late Spring 2021), and providing virtual care consultations for our growing BoosterPet parent community.

Requirements

  • Have an active license in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Washington.
  • Have an active DEA license in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinary technicians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • With each hospital function, assist veterinary technicians to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
  • Perform routine wellness examination and procedures.
  • At this time, we do not provide spay/neuter services; however, we do provide scheduled, routine (basic) dental cleanings on certain days of the month.
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
  • Use safe techniques, follow standard protocols, and help to maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
  • For mobile operations, safely drive to various locations throughout Washington to set up and run mobile clinics.
