About The Position
Potomac Animal Wellness Services (PAWS) is looking for a skilled veterinarian to join our team. Located conveniently off the Indian-Head highway, PAWS offers easy access to Washington D.C. while maintaining a tight-knit community feel. As an AAHA-accredited, full-service veterinary clinic, we provide routine services like vaccines and check-ups, alongside advanced soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, progressive pain management, and palliative end-of-life care. We strive to exceed expectations with friendly, knowledgeable staff, minimal wait times, and high-tech care delivered with a gentle approach.
Requirements
- Fourth-year veterinary student or early-career veterinarian.
- Pride in quality medicine.
- Experience or interest in surgery and dentistry.
- Effective and respectful communication skills with colleagues, team members, and clients.
- Ability to be a team player.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine services, such as vaccines, spay/neuter, and annual check-ups.
- Conduct advanced soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery.
- Provide progressive pain management.
- Offer palliative end-of-life care.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with colleagues, team members, and clients.
- Be a team player.
