About The Position

IndeVets is seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian for Richmond, VA. This role offers a unique approach to veterinary medicine, prioritizing veterinarian wellbeing by replacing rigid contracts with sustainable career paths. You will have control over your schedule, guaranteed income, and hands-on support from a trusted community. As a full-time W-2 veterinarian working 4-5 days per week, you will build a schedule in advance with a dedicated scheduling coordinator, ensuring clarity and predictability. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing you to focus on practicing medicine. You will have a guaranteed salary with the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts, which can be paid out or converted into additional PTO. You will practice across a network of trusted hospital partners, gaining diverse clinical experience and building relationships with teams. The role emphasizes clinical autonomy with a focus on patient care, not numbers, and provides dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, and a collaborative community of fellow veterinarians. Additionally, access to a veterinary social worker and ongoing CE and professional development opportunities are available. Requirements

  • DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
  • Active license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
  • Confidence practicing independently
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
