About The Position

Gateway Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian for its two small-animal general practice clinics in Charleston and Saint Albans, West Virginia. The clinics provide wellness and preventive care, advanced diagnostics, dental care, surgery, laser therapy, boarding, ultrasound, and other services. The role is suited to an empathetic, compassionate team player with strong communication skills and proficiency in general medicine and surgery. Experience is preferred, but new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply. The practice has a two-DVM clinic with dedicated support staff and offers medical autonomy, mentorship, and potential future ownership options. The locations are near the Kanawha River and offer access to parks and outdoor, cultural, and community activities.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Current DEA license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Active veterinary state license.
• USDA accreditation or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Proficiency in general medicine and surgery.
• Empathetic and compassionate approach, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
