About The Position

Highland Square Family Vet is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their 3-doctor team. This practice offers a modern, full-service veterinary experience with a focus on compassionate care and innovative medicine, including Class IV therapeutic laser treatments, stem cell therapy, dental radiography, surgery, and acupuncture. The clinic is a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility that operates as a walk-in clinic, providing same-day appointments for pets. The role involves treating dogs, cats, and occasional exotic companions, supported by a skilled team and a loyal client base. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Active or eligible Florida veterinary license.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD licensure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, positive, and collaborative demeanor with both staff and clients.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger patients or equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples; interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide compassionate counsel around pet end-of-life care.
Maintain thorough and accurate medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and all relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
