About The Position

Pender Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Associate Veterinarian for their mixed animal practice with a strong emphasis on bovine care. The clinic has been serving the agricultural community of northeast Nebraska for over 50 years, focusing on beef cattle production. The practice is progressive and fast-paced, with a caseload of approximately 70% large animal and 30% small animal. The team consists of five veterinarians and skilled support staff, including technicians, assistants, and large animal assistants, maintaining a nearly 1:1 tech-to-doctor ratio. The role involves working closely with experienced veterinarians and support staff to deliver exceptional care and build strong client relationships. Weekend calls are rotated approximately every fifth weekend, allowing for predictable scheduling.

Requirements

DVM or equivalent from an accredited university
Active veterinary license in Nebraska (or ability to obtain)
DEA license and USDA accreditation (or ability to obtain)
Strong communicator, compassionate, and a team player
General medicine and surgical proficiency preferred
