About The Position
CityVet Alexandria King Street is hiring an Associate Veterinarian for a Hybrid GP + Urgent Care role. This position combines interesting medical cases with the ability to build long-term client relationships while maintaining excellent work-life balance. This role is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy diagnostic problem solving, urgent care medicine, and collaborative team environments. CityVet Alexandria King Street offers comprehensive veterinary services including Preventive and wellness care, Dentistry, Soft tissue surgery, Urgent care services, and Advanced diagnostics. The hybrid model creates a dynamic and rewarding caseload, allowing you to practice engaging, high-quality medicine while avoiding the burnout often associated with traditional ER schedules. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
- Licensed in Virginia, or eligible for licensure
- Interest in General Practice and/or Urgent Care medicine
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to excellent patient care
Responsibilities
- See a mix of scheduled GP wellness and sick visits
- Handle urgent care walk-in cases
- Perform soft tissue surgeries
- Conduct medical workups and diagnostics
