About The Position

Spencer Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our AAHA-accredited small animal and exotic general practice in Pasadena, Texas. Whether you're an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate seeking mentorship, you'll enjoy practicing high-quality medicine with a collaborative, supportive team. The hospital is a well-respected practice with deep community roots, founded in 1974. The current Practice Manager, Alaina Davis, is the daughter of the founder and continues the family legacy. The Medical Director & Co-Owner, Dr. Annelise Nicoletti, is passionate about mentoring, especially those interested in expanding their skills in exotic animal medicine. The hospital has a supportive, team-oriented culture with many long-term employees. They practice high-quality medicine with a diverse caseload including wellness, preventive care, surgery, dentistry, laser therapy, dermatology, and exotic animal medicine for dogs, cats, exotic pets, and small farm animals. The practice accommodates urgent care and drop-off appointments. The recently renovated 3,100-square-foot hospital features four exam rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, and a spacious treatment area.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college
Active Texas veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
Current DEA and TX BNDD License (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

Practicing high-quality medicine
Providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for dogs, cats, exotic pets, and small farm animals
Performing wellness, preventive care, surgery, dentistry, laser therapy, and dermatology
Mentoring new graduates or veterinarians interested in exotic animal medicine
