About The Position

Acorn Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, surgically-inclined Associate Veterinarian for their well-established and thriving 10-doctor practice. The ideal candidate will have an interest in a soft tissue and dentistry caseload. Located in Franklin, MA, the practice is situated in a suburban community 40 miles southwest of Boston, offering historical New England charm with convenient access to the Boston and Providence metro areas, as well as local parks and outdoor recreation. At Acorn Animal Hospital, you will have the opportunity to practice medical and surgical excellence, seeing a variety of cases including acute and chronic disease patients, as well as routine and advanced surgical procedures such as spay/neuter, mass removals, abdominal procedures, foreign bodies, and dental extractions. You will uphold a high standard of care by providing client education and offering comprehensive treatment plan options. The role involves working with a collaborative, 10 DVM team and skilled support staff in a large clinic facility equipped with industry-leading and up-to-date equipment. The position is designed to allow you to pursue your passion for exceptional animal care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA accredited university, or equivalent
  • Active veterinarian license to practice in the state of MA, or license-eligible
  • Experienced in companion animal wellness and preventive care medicine
  • A commitment to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Responsibilities

  • Seeing a variety of cases including acute and chronic disease patients
