About The Position

Progressive Veterinary Services is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for their Wisconsin Rapids, WI location. This is a small animal practice focused on dogs and cats, offering comprehensive and advanced veterinary care. The clinic utilizes modern technology such as in-clinic blood analyzers, surgical and therapy lasers, digital X-rays, and digital dental X-rays. They perform a variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, as well as dental procedures. Requirements

Team-oriented, compassionate DVM

Experience with soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures (e.g., ACL repairs, Luxating patella repairs)
Experience with dental cleaning and other dental procedures
Familiarity with digital radiology and digital dental X-rays
Proficiency with in-house lab equipment (IDEXX + Sedivue)
Ability to manage 2-6 surgical/dental procedures per day
Understanding of veterinary ethics and regulations

Nice To Haves

30+ years of experience (referring to the DVM team)
Experience with surgical and therapy lasers

Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
