Join us as an Associate Veterinarian at VCA Wakefield Animal Hospital, and you’ll quickly discover that you’re well supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities, and a talented team. You’ll be empowered to do your best work with a team you can count on. At VCA, the future of veterinary medicine is in our hands. Our new state-of-the-art facility was designed with the comfort of our patients in mind: Get to work hands on with exotics and pockets pets! We are looking for a doctor with good exotics experience. Dogs are separated from other species in our lobbies, exam rooms, treatment areas, and holding areas. Additionally, iCalm music is played throughout. Most of our 12 doctors, 15 CVTs, 20 assistants, and 20 client service representatives are Fear Free™ Certified Professionals, and we are committed to making veterinary visits a great experience for our patients and their people. We are also committed to hands-free radiology (currently at 90%). We’ve been AHAA-accredited for more than 40 years. Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship. We see plenty of dogs (50%) and cats (30%), and experience with birds, reptiles, and/or small mammals (20%) would be a plus but is not a requirement. People obsessed with pets and their care. Dedicated experts who want to provide world-class medicine. Collaborators who enjoy teaching others and working as a team. Curious lifelong learners who want to grow and thrive for a dynamic and fulfilling career. Empathetic partners who develop strong client and Associate relationships built on trust.
